Microsoft Dynamics 365 - One CRM for everything important

Rating: 8 out of 10
Incentivized

Use Cases and Deployment Scope

Microsoft Dynamics 365 is our main CRM that we have been using for a long time, what I really like about this CRM is the fact that it gives a complete visibility of all the required information for example: Purchase History, Invoice History, Active Opportunities, Remaining Credit Limit and many more things. It gets integrated to our Citrix environment perfectly, providing a secure and hassle-free experience. It shows some of the finest details about the customer that is available. I enjoy working on Microsoft Dynamics 365 because most of my applications are window based so it provides an overall amazing productive environment. Overall, it's a good experince till now.

Pros

  • Amount of details we can put in it
  • It creates a profile for every customer that we have and creates a portfolio for each customer
  • Provides overall visiblity for each account without going into depth of it

Cons

  • The user interface is not friendly, it can be improved
  • Since the UI needs improvement, it can be tricky to learn it initially
  • Sometimes it crashes and freezes, although it gets fixed quickly

Likelihood to Recommend

I am working as an Account Manager, for me it is really important to check the account health and other necessary details before prospecting a customer for a new opportunity. Microsoft Dynamics 365 provides me a good visibility of a customer's account, saving me alot of time. I can rely on Microsoft Dynamics 365 to manage my sales pipeline and since my manager have the visiblity of my funnel. I don't have to update him every week for the update, Microsoft Dynamics 365 does that for me.

Use Cases and Deployment Scope

In our organization, we provide consulting/ implement Microsoft Dynamics 365 to enhance customer relationship management and streamline operations. It addresses business problems such as data silos and inefficient processes by integrating various functions. Our use case includes the as-is analysis, design of tailored solutions, and benefit case development to ensure alignment with our strategic goals.

Pros

  • The platform aggregates customer data from various sources.
  • Dynamics 365 offers comprehensive financial management tools, including budgeting, forecasting, and real-time financial reporting.
  • Users can quickly log time and expenses associated with projects, providing transparency and facilitating accurate billing.

Cons

  • Complex Navigation.
  • Customization Complexity.
  • Third-Party Integrations.

Likelihood to Recommend

Microsoft Dynamics 365 is well-suited for organizations needing integrated CRM and ERP solutions - a mid-sized manufacturing company managing sales, inventory, and customer relationships in one platform. It may be less appropriate for small businesses with limited budgets, as its pricing can be a barrier. Additionally, organizations seeking highly specialized industry solutions might find Dynamics 365 lacking specific functionalities compared to niche software tailored for those sectors. Overall, its versatility shines in larger, more complex environments.

Rating: 8 out of 10

Use Cases and Deployment Scope

We use Microsoft Dynamics 365 for automating certain processes such as creating files in Microsoft Teams. We also use Power automate for requesting leave within the company. Its also used on a wider scale to support application processing including the front end and backend view. So in my organisation it is used for a variety of purposed both internally and externally.

Pros

  • Easy to pick up
  • Automation
  • Adaptable to different processes

Cons

  • The Help Guides could be improved as to how to create Power automate apps
  • The Micrsoft learning is also a little dry
  • Even though it is low code i think it should still be marketed for developers

Likelihood to Recommend

Its suited for automating certain processes internally and externally (client site). There's also a range of applications that can be created using Microsoft Dynamics 365 so that's something thats good. There are a lot of additional functions and features that can be used within Microsoft Dynamics 365 also so thats something beneficial when looking future forward.

The middle ground between Salesforce and SAP

Rating: 8 out of 10
Incentivized

Use Cases and Deployment Scope

Microsoft Dynamics is a cloud-based software that addresses various aspects of a company's business processes, such as sales management and finance operations (ERP), customer management (CDP/Marketing), and customer service. Each aspect is handled by a different module, and in our company, we have primarily worked on integrations with the customer management and marketing module.

Pros

  • Modularity
  • Customization does not require coding (most of the time)
  • 100% Cloud based

Cons

  • Step learning curve (each module is different)
  • The licensing system can be tricky to understand
  • 3rd party integrations requires custom developments

Likelihood to Recommend

Dynamics 365 is perfect when you decide to unify different software solutions (ERP, CRM, CDP, Marketing, etc.) into a single platform. It makes integration easier if you have a clear vision of what you are doing. Being modular, it is highly adaptable and can work for both an eCommerce company and a large multinational.

Use Cases and Deployment Scope

MD 365 is perfect for any manufacturing and distribution business. It comes fully ready to handle both functions plus inventory management, accounting management, and even customized builds for work orders. We used it exclusively to satisfy our daily needs. One of the best features was that adding or modifying any of the modules was simple to make it compatible and completely customizable for our business.

Pros

  • Inventory management.
  • Tracking progress.
  • Custom builds.
  • Accounting management.

Cons

  • Movement between modules.
  • Easier way to customize reporting.
  • Multiple emails for customer notifications.

Likelihood to Recommend

Provides our company access to manage and customize the folds tailored to our needs. We needed to have certain paragraphs on certain paperwork per customer. MD 365 has those options to customize where needed and remove when not. The system is easy to navigate, and training can be done in a matter of days, even without prior knowledge of the system or similar systems.

Deep Dive in to Microsoft Dynamic 365.

Rating: 8 out of 10
Incentivized

Use Cases and Deployment Scope

We use MS Dynamics 365 as accounting software for recording accounts payable bills, payment transactions, Payments made to customers, credit card expenses, other expenses, recording time, generating invoices to customers, etc. We use MS Dynamics 365 daily. It's one of the best accounting software to record daily expenses. It's easy to use and helps prepare monthly financials, etc.

Pros

  • Best to use for AP - like in our organization, there are plenty of AP bills, so with Dynamics, we can quickly enter the same into the Excel utility, which means CSV-based upload, and then we can easily upload the same to the software. It's a time saver.
  • Best for Bank reconciliation - MS Dynamics makes Bank reconciliation easy. Banks can easily sync with software and easily get reconciled.
  • Generating invoices to customers and directly sending them to their inbox is easy with this software.

Cons

  • Navigation to particular tasks is different. This means that it is a little tricky for new users to use.
  • There are few manuals or learning texts, and videos are available online. Dynamics needs to create learning videos and manual texts for users or some free certification for everyone to understand.
  • Sometimes, an error code occurred while doing essential tasks, and the software got stuck. Customer support doesn't have effective solutions for that.

Likelihood to Recommend

Based on user experience, I would like to recommend this software to my friends or colleagues on the AP Handling. I like AP recording the most because it makes my work easy. I have been using this for the past 2 years, and it's one of the best for this task. Easy to use and user-friendly.

Rating: 7 out of 10
Incentivized

Use Cases and Deployment Scope

We are currently using Microsoft Dynamics 365 for our CRM Customer Relationship Management system for approx 5M records. We also migrated from the original HR module and are now using the Finance and Operations FinOps product for Human Recourses (staff records, booking leave, sickness records etc). We have also made use of PowerApps using a canvas app for recording time.

Pros

  • Integration with other Microsoft products e.g. PowerBi/Data Warehousing
  • Integration with Marketing, HR, Finance, 3rd party systems such as telephony

Cons

  • For FinOps the promoting of environments is quite complex
  • The pricing model, particularly around storage costs

Likelihood to Recommend

Microsoft Dynamics 365 is a sold product, with excellent integration for both Microsoft products, but also external 3rd party applications. The CRM solution is very flexible and suitable for a any industry or sector as it is able to manage end to end processes for customer relations from healthcare to financial services.

Microsoft Dynamics 365 provides a better ROI!

Rating: 8 out of 10
Incentivized

Use Cases and Deployment Scope

We use Microsoft Dynamics 365 to track our customers and maintain sales managers records regarding all activities and opportunities, related to each customer. These records allow our leadership to monitor our Sales Manager activities with our clients, along with our customers opportunities activities and ensuring we are addressing every opportunity we've been presented with along with meeting all of our customers needs.

Pros

  • Maintain customer records including all contacts and information related to each company.
  • Track all opportunities and activities related to each customer.
  • Maintain and track all sales managers activities related to their assigned accounts.

Cons

  • Slow performance, due to high volume of customers in the system.
  • Have had some data corruption
  • Some integration issues with our system from time to time.

Likelihood to Recommend

As a CRM tool Microsoft Dynamics 365 does a better job in allowing us to maintain and track our customer's activities and opportunities better than most other CRM tools. We have used Salesforce in the past and are much happier with Microsoft Dynamics 365. Where Microsoft Dynamics 365 falters is with it's integration with our systems. There are some records that we have had issues with integrating with our system. We have to duplicate replication to get it to integrate.
