Robust product for task mining could do with some updates to the dashboarding features

Rating: 8 out of 10
Incentivized

Use Cases and Deployment Scope

We are currently using the Task Mining component from ProcessMaker to evaluate our business processes and identify inefficiencies, opportunities for streamlining the process and to implement automation. We look at processes which have a very significant number of manual process steps which involve activities outside of our core system landscape, or when there are many different applications involved.

Pros

  • Connecting activities across applications which are not part of the core landscape (e.g. Excel, MS Teams)
  • Being able to identify activities being performed such as typing into a form, reading content on pages, or navigating between pages in an application.
  • Identify copy / paste events, including the source system / application being copied from and the target.

Cons

  • The maturity of the Task Mining dashboard is quite low
  • The process for managing the invitation tokens to a team is quite challenging
  • The knowledge curve for configuring, especially with moderately complex system landscapes, is very steep.

Likelihood to Recommend

The task mining component is well suited for processes where there are a lot of steps performed in a variety of systems, particularly by a single individual on a team. It also requires a robust activity ID to be able to track an activity. It is not well suited when trying to track a process where the content is in an email.

Use Cases and Deployment Scope

We have integrated ProcessMaker with Google Workspace, Azure, and Netsuite to monitor requests from our over 500 retail locations to identify trends in real time. ProcessMaker is then used to delivery various reports to the management teams at each of our locations.

Pros

  • Integrations with other 3rd party apps
  • Integrations with 3rd party platforms
  • Report delivery via email

Cons

  • Cost
  • Interface

Likelihood to Recommend

In our company we do a lot of pretotyping. During this phase, many changes are made which results in evolving processing and ad-hoc tasks. Tasks that cannot be predefined or standardized are not suitable for ProcessMaker

ProcessMaker An excellent tool for process automation

Rating: 7 out of 10
Incentivized

Use Cases and Deployment Scope

We use ProcessMaker within our organization in many different ways. We use it for creating forms, executing and managing processes through platform's interface, reporting and improving processes based on data and performance and designing and automating business process using its Business Process Model and Notation (BPMN) modeler.

Pros

  • Form creation
  • Integrations
  • Reporting

Cons

  • Automate production releases
  • Fix the performance issues with big processes
  • Simplify the user interface

Likelihood to Recommend

Some areas where ProcessMaker is well suited for us is centralized form submission, integrations with other systems, task automation and creating audit trails. Some areas where less appropriate for us is if you need to run a big process or multiple big processes, that will be an issue due to performance reasons. Also the documentation management and searching capabilities is not good if that would be a need.

Use Cases and Deployment Scope

ProcessMaker is used to run various applications in our organization. With the goal of cutting cost, our organization has moved over 15 applications that we use to patronize from third-party's to the platform. We have now created Document management, Reimbursement , Vendor Contract Management and many other applications on the platform

Pros

  • It handles libraries very well. you can input various libraries during the development of a process
  • ProcessMaker runs scripts efficiently and the error codes are very clear to understand
  • Onboarding a process is not too cumbersome

Cons

  • Needs to improve with Integrations with other applications
  • Improve on resource consumption

Likelihood to Recommend

It is well suited for running simple programs that manages day to day task. If you are looking to integrate other applications or OEMs , it is not that efficient.

ProcessMaker - Best for the Basics and New Users

Rating: 9 out of 10

Use Cases and Deployment Scope

I reviewed ProcessMaker as part of an initiative to find the best fit for a local school. They had an issue with efficiency and spending time on the right tasks. They were spending too much time in trivial things which could be automated, and doing these things on paper, so they were easily spending at least a full day's worth of time doing these things. My role was to come in and find a solution which addresses both their efficiency issues and making sure the process is more refined. They wanted to spend more time working on the relationship with customers and not simply filling out paperwork day after day.

Pros

  • User interface. It is clean and easy to understand. You won't get overwhelmed the second you log in.
  • The workflow maker. With a drag and drop interface, you can easily visualize and implement what you want on the screen. Out of all the programs we tested, this one had the easiest process maker and designer.
  • Ease of understanding. My biggest recommendation would be that this program is easy to access for anyone. There are complications (see negatives) but this program can be implemented quickly and efficiently, and nearly anyone can learn to use it. You will not feel like you are in the dark with it.

Cons

  • Complications when you get to the more advanced pieces. When trialing, I found that the more advanced a process got, the more complicated it got for me in coding. When you begin using the more advanced features, you will find that you need to have a basic knowledge of coding - otherwise you won't go any further. This was my sole issue. Unfortunately, it was one that would have brought the school to a grinding halt if they were to ever get more complicated than they were.

Likelihood to Recommend

I loved it. You will not get an easier interface. You can develop workflow processes in a simple way, one which allows anyone to understand what you are trying to accomplish; however, you will get into some issues if your employees are scared of coding (when you get to the advanced features). For some, this will never be an issue as the knowledge you need is very basic. But for the school I was working with, it would have stopped them cold.

An amazing BPMN system which helps us to implement our workflow projects. We needed to normalize our business processes. By using Processmaker, we draw our process and related electronic forms easily. And, ProcessMaker provides an easy way to write code to customize the workflow. Great!

Good Workflow Maker

Rating: 9 out of 10

Use Cases and Deployment Scope

ProcessMaker is a good workflow design platform. ProcessMaker is suitable for building a relatively complex task flow. Through the BPMN2.0 engine allows users to easily through the GUI design and implementation of the task workflow design. Meanwhile, ProcessMaker can be a simple set of task process data deployed in the specified database. The highly open Restful API brings good operability and scalability to software developers. Look forward to this product in the future to have more subsidiary features concentrated in the company or government social community. Overall, I recommend this product.

Pros

  • Easily controllable task workflow design
  • Integrated data analysis capabilities
  • Strong scalability

Cons

  • Real time communication function base on role relationship or task process group.
  • Role Relationship Model Presentation

Likelihood to Recommend

Recommended government and company use.

ProcessMaker is really a key-leverage to make our business grow.

Rating: 9 out of 10

Use Cases and Deployment Scope

We use ProcessMaker to diagram, organize, document and track/monitor the real flow of our customer services-related processes. The main and most important problem that the tool addresses is, in our opinion, our need to monitor internal processes, measure performers' efficiency and assess customer quality. Likewise, it's been critical to help us turn our processes into a graphical and straightforward guidance on how to better perform a task for our teams.

Pros

  • Metrics, dashboards, and KPIs provide managers with the right indicators to measure efficiency.
  • Design: extremely easy to draw BPMN 2.0-based processes.
  • Real-time process track: The status of any task can be monitored at any time.

Cons

  • User's menu: not straightforward, main features difficult to find.
  • Coding requirements: several important and valuable features require complicated coding.

Likelihood to Recommend

ProcessMaker is:

<ul><li>Suitable for customer-oriented businesses processes.</li><li>Convenient for firms with the need to track teams' performance with tailored indicators.</li><li>Not adequate for simple processes which require only modeling and graphic design.</li></ul>
