Use Cases and Deployment Scope

We use ProcessMaker within our organization in many different ways. We use it for creating forms, executing and managing processes through platform's interface, reporting and improving processes based on data and performance and designing and automating business process using its Business Process Model and Notation (BPMN) modeler.

The ProcessMaker customer support and services are solid and comprehensive. Beyond the decent customer support and service, many other services are offered to help insure success. These services include a well documented and updated knowledgebase, certifications are available on products to help display administrative knowledge as well as excellent tutorials that are available.

Scalability

I gave this rating for the adaptability and growth for Processmaker for its many capabilities for support and flexibility. These include ease of integration with many other systems, its open source version for its extended customization and capabilities of the tool and its low-code / no-code capabilities to be able to easily design and automate processes with minimal or no-code.

Usability

I gave this overall rating for ProcessMaker due to its overall flexibility, design and ease of use for most. Examples of this from us include it being an excellent and trustworthy tool for automating processes, the abilities and capabilities for real-time process tracking and the web-based accessibility and implementation which allows for easy access and management of the tool.

Alternatives Considered

IBM Business Automation Workflow, Blueprint Platform and CMW Platform

We looked at all and tested some with the final recommendation being for ProcessMaker. The features the were key to our decision making were its easy integration options and capabilities, its open source version for our extended customization needs and its ease of use and web based access for easy access form anywhere.

Likelihood to Recommend

Some areas where ProcessMaker is well suited for us is centralized form submission, integrations with other systems, task automation and creating audit trails. Some areas where less appropriate for us is if you need to run a big process or multiple big processes, that will be an issue due to performance reasons. Also the documentation management and searching capabilities is not good if that would be a need.
