Use Cases and Deployment Scope

We use Qualifax and Sync as a healthcare EHR in our mental health outpatient clinic to store patient documents, clinical notes, submit and receive insurance claims, send statements, and schedule patient appointments.

Pros

  • Not respond to emails
  • Not resolve significant issues with software
  • Selling products that don't work
  • Upselling features that have not actually been tested and show to be operating effectively
  • Billing for features that don't operate
  • Escalating issues into a black hole where they go unaddressed.

Cons

  • Actually solving the issues that are submitted in support tickets
  • Responding to emails promptly
  • Escalating issues to somebody who can actually resolve them
  • Ensuring benefit eligibility is functioning and that they aren't billing users while it is not functioning for months.
  • Addressing billing issues promptly
  • Giving their tech support more than 15 to 30 minutes on a call to solve an issue, and then scheduling subsequent follow-up 15 to 30-minute tech support calls to fix the same issue indefinitely until it gets fixed or you give up because it takes forever to get anything resolved

Return on Investment

  • The ROI on InSync has been negative when measured against our actual business objectives. Over the four months this eligibility issue has been open, we've spent an estimated 75 hours of staff time on calls, tickets, and documentation trying to get it resolved. At roughly $65 an hour, that's about $4,875 in labor cost, the equivalent of nearly two full work weeks pulled away from patient care and practice growth just to manage a vendor problem. Add the $1,923.84 we were charged for the eligibility service itself during that same window, and this single unresolved issue has cost us close to $6,800 in the last four months alone, direct billing plus staff time, with no resolution and no credit applied.
  • That figure doesn't include the additional, uncounted hours and revenue risk from the same unresolved pattern in billing, telehealth, and AI note-taking. Measured against what we actually need from a practice management platform, growing the business and keeping clinical staff focused on patients instead of vendor triage, InSync has been a net drag on our objectives rather than the efficiency gain it's sold as.

Review of Insync Healthcare Solutions

Use Cases and Deployment Scope

In my opinion, the software is cumbersome. The implementation was unnecessarily exhausting in my view. No one is available (in the United States) to assist with questions or support I found. InSync has wat too many "managers" and no one to perform any actual customer support in my opinion. The only reason that we selected InSync is that our state requires certain data reporting and InSync does that.

Pros

  • Implementation was unnecessarily burdensome, in my view.
  • There is no one to help with customer support, in my view.
  • InSync is more expensive than its peers, in my view.

Cons

  • Difficult to enter data, in my view.
  • No templates to use to facilitate data entry, in my view.
  • Billing function is unnecessarily complicated, and they do not provide assistance and support in my view.

Most Important Features

  • Medical charting.
  • Medical billing.

Return on Investment

  • The implementation was too cumbersome, in my view.
  • They do not have templates for typical procedures and charting.
  • There is no post-implementation support for questions or concerns.

Usability

The EHR Gods finally got it right with INSYNC!!!

Use Cases and Deployment Scope

Our entire office uses [Insync Healthcare Solutions]. Everything from patient registration to record releases and referrals are being done in the system which makes it much easier to document dates, times and details, and collect necessary information at the click of a button. Patients, as well as clinicians and administrative staff, are able to communicate electronically by using the secure patient portal which also allows us to securely send patient records to the client and to send and receive facility forms that allow for the patient to electronically sign and submit. We utilize Insync PM and EHR as well as InsyncScribe. Customer service is phenomenal and the support team is always available! This system has allowed us to finally be on "the same page" with one another for all of our facility needs!

Pros

  • Electronic communication between staff and patient
  • Customization and completion of facility documents electronically is so simple
  • Documentation consistent and adequate without the need for additional software like MS WORD
  • Everything is customizable and user friendly

Cons

  • The reporting system is a bit difficult at times.

Most Important Features

  • Electronic documents and eSignature abilities make telecommunication a breeze
  • Clear and customizable scheduler allows users to book appointments quickly and accurately
  • Easy access to the support team to assist with issues or questions without delay and with quick resolution times

Return on Investment

  • When Covid began, [Insync Healthcare Solutions] was able to provide us with a way to continue to see our clients by integrating Zoom. We switched from completely in-person to completely virtual appointments for 20+ providers in approximately 2 days.
  • We anticipated lower than normal incoming revenue during our initial transition from our previous software to [Insync Healthcare Solutions] and were surprised and excited to discover that it was just the opposite!
