Reddit for Business is the way to get the traction you deserve
Use Cases and Deployment Scope
We use Reddit for Business as part of our social media and digital marketing strategy for Pembe the Pink Cat IP. Our primary use case is to reach relevant Reddit audience, typically the youth, to increase our brand awareness, and promoting pembe related content. We also observe how other communities respond to our brand and campaigns. Our total scope includes campaign planning and management, audience targeting, content promotion, performance monitoring and campaign optimization. We use the insights and performance data from Reddit for Business to evaluate engagement, improve future campaigns with this data not only for to fit in Reddit, but also for the other social medias.
Pros
- So in audience targeting for instance, it works really well, as we can put our campaign towards users that are interested in animation, pets, memes, humour, self love and self acceptance. Communities that relates and creates safe space for their members, we can pitch our brand to them easily.
- We can perform creative testing also with testing different pembe illustrations and ideas with different formats and colors to analyze which content gets better engangement.
- Lastly campaign insights, we can compare every compaign performance very easily and use its results to improve the targeting and the creatives so we dont overspend in unresourceful audiences.
Cons
- I think the UI should be improved as it feels cluttered to me.. Like for example, if i have to find specific campaign settings or their performance reports, it takes alot of clicks to me, even though it should be shown on top screen or wherever its more accessible.
- Performance is really low for the application. It takes eternity to load sometimes, and slows down further when i have to compare multiple campaigns. It definitely feels very very laggy.
- Then the mobile experience need whole lot of improvement. Every action we perform on pc, takes 2x time in mobile, like I wanted to edit a campaign on the run, it took me hours to find the right setting.
- Lastly I understand it provides good reports, but i wish it was more customizable and pre customizable with respect to our own templates so we dont need to export everytime we need to make it presentable to the stakeholders.
Return on Investment
- So we have seen that we are spending 35% less on ads and reaching the same targeted audience we were reaching using other platforms
- I have noticed that using Reddit for Business, we can loop into the trends way faster than we used to do.
