If your business is just starting out then Salesforce Lightning may not be the right fit for you, as there will be a lot of information that may not be worth the cost of the platform. … ROI - It allows us to handle billing and see if the client is being charged the correct amount so our books stay balanced.

Tracking leads has had a big impact on ROI - we can learn where our clients come from, what avenues are working (i.e. are conferences worth all the money spent, etc.).

Without Salesforce, we wouldn't be able to realize the volume of sales that we have as a company, so the ROI is clearly worth it. … I understand that it is one of the more expensive CRMs. It wouldn't make sense to have for a small company with only a few customers.

I believe Salesforce is ideal for enterprises with 1000+ employees and has a wide feature set that can cater to enterprise sales needs in almost any industry.
