SAP Concur tool is currently used in our company for managing all travel bookings, expense, bill reimbursement and various invoice management. The tool is simple and easy enough that one employee can fill up all the details in one go without any guide. This is automated solution and works seamlessly starting with creating records, manager approvals and payment completion. As a tool user, everything goes well without any hassles.

Pros

Allows us to create expense reports for internet and telephone bills
Lets to submit travel expenses like hotel booking bills, food bills, cab bills and ticket booking bills.
It offers app center feature which allows users and employees to opt for a food service, ride service, travel service directly from same tool.

Cons

SAP Concur App Center should increase the number of options in hotel and flight categories.
SAP Concur mobile version is not that user friendly as web interface. Mobile interface allows comparatively less functionality.
User interface should be designed much more intuitive with real time dashboards for easy active requests tracking.

Concur is used to facilitate the submission of expense claims and the processing of expense payments. Concur is also used in arranging travel, both in-country and abroad, by Employees across the Business. Our organisation is reliant on travel globally for product testing, supplier engagement, and product delivery. Concur provides a coordinated means for travel and expense management, allowing both the Business and employees to coordinate their efforts in a controlled manner.

I use SAP Concur as an expense reporting tool to submit my own report and to approve other's reports for processing. The "problem" that this product addresses is submitting reports for expenses. I wouldnt classify expenses as a "problem" but more of a need, and this need can bi filled more effeciently by another app, or maybe by some clarificaitons from SAP to our accounting department. The scpoe of our use case is collecting expences to track spending and control outgoing payments.

Cons

getting rid of 2FA
allowing historical look ups for users not just admins
being more user friendly on mobile versions

SAP does what you tell it to. So if it is reporting incorrectly, it is because you told it to report incorrectly. On the other hand, when I am going back through to look up some past expenses, I cannot do so. Once the report is "approved/ paid" it goes away for me and I need to request one of my employees to look up and send me what I am needing to reference.

Use Cases and Deployment Scope

We use SAP Concur to track and manage expenses within our organization. It compiles these into reports that are easy to understand, and allows for attachments that can justify the expenses being used. Concur is allowing us to quickly resolve expenses at month/quarter end when deadlines are tight and reporting needs to be accurate.

Concur is incredibly useful. The only thing I would say is the user experience for those who do not work in accounting can be tricky (for example helping the organization understand that a report can hold multiple expenses) If Concur had a quick training that would actually get watched (5 minutes or less) it’d be helpful!

It addresses problems such as lack of integration with the employee and FI data, connecting to S/4 HANA to grab this data and provides a good public cloud and mobile app accessibility. The scope of our usage relates to general expenses approval, from the end user perspective.

Cons

Concur's Identity API is unfortunately outdated and incomplete. This brings different problems caused by it, such as
Challenges to integrate SAP CIS to Concur, providing standard field information such as UUID and Manager, necessary for strategic SAP implementations such as Task Center for approvals, and SAP Joule.
Identity Management - Concur API possibilities bring challenges to implement and automatic creation/update/deletion of user master data, using the SAP standard product CIS/IPS
The usage of the system can be a bit unclear and not very intuitive for new users.

Concur does a good job managing expenses and travel data. There are competitors who actually do a pretty good job as well. For being SAP, you would expect it would be easy to integrate SAP Concur with other SAP solutions, which is unfortunately only partially true. So it does a good job for it's main focus, but lack of infrastructure and strategic integration architecture

Travel requests are triggered through Concur for necessary approvals .The entire expense report process, from creation to approval and reimbursement, is handled through Concur. It is very easy to use and very systematic, making the travel claim process very simple

Pros

The approval process is very systemic and is triggered as soon as the requests are created with timely email updates of the status of approval
It supports multiple currency exchange rates and supports both domestic and international travel claims and automatically applies the most up-to-date exchange rates

Cons

I feel there are a lot of unused menus, maybe a profile-based menu setup for users so that only essential menus are exposed to the end user, as some time can be saved in finding the right menu and options

It's a very systematic way to set up travel claims and get necessary approvals and complete expense reports for travel. Also, the entire history of trips and amounts spent can be exported in report formats. Overall it's an organised travel application

Use Cases and Deployment Scope

SAP Concur is used for travel and budgeting in my company. Whenever someone has to travel abroad, we use SAP Concur as a tool to plan the expenses and define the budget. We then have the ability to track the expenses incurred during the travel and cross check the total expenses and cost to the company. It is used company-wise, including international teams. Having it online is a big advantage, as it is available anytime.

SAP Concur on mobile is great to have for a short trip, you can upload your receipts on the go everyday with the phone camera. However, if you have a longer trip planned (more than 2 weeks), filling in the daily expenses becomes tedious. If you miss one day, the time required to fill in all the expenses accumulates. And, very often, I go one or two days without filling in the expense report, it becomes nightmarish to upload each receipt one by one and filling in the expense details one by one.

We use SAP Concur to manage all the travel request, air, hotel, advanced payments and comprobations.

As part of a large organization manage each travel request and keep the record it´s difficult, SAP Concur give us the visibility and we can track all the activity from our employee expenses, it also gives us the simplicity to alocate the expense on each department

When a company need to get control on expenses and simplify the travel management to their employes, Concur is the option. Need some improvement on the mobile app. If a company require to alocate the expense to an specific department or cost center, Consur it's an easy option, you just need to inform your employee

We use SAP Concur for Travel Booking portal and Expense management. Helps us track our travel spend, enforce T&E policies and manage vendors for travel booking. Also helps with tracking, auditing and compliance related needs. From user or employee point of view this also serves as ease of use, making adoption a breeze - either through the use of integrated web portal or easy to use mobile app. Admin center makes it easy for IT to control access, view, authorizations etc.

SAP Concur is very well suited for large scale enterprise companies who operate in multiple locations, have extensive business travel needs and have employees based in multiple locations and across multiple teams or categories. SAP Concur is also great for companies that are already deep into the SAP ecosystem with multiple SAP products deployed across processes and functions. Concur may not be ideal for small to medium scale companies that do not have a wide SAP application stack deployed and do not have a lot of integrations developed between their applications.
