Overall Satisfaction with SAP Concur

Travel requests are triggered through Concur for necessary approvals .The entire expense report process, from creation to approval and reimbursement, is handled through Concur. It is very easy to use and very systematic, making the travel claim process very simple

Pros

  • The approval process is very systemic and is triggered as soon as the requests are created with timely email updates of the status of approval
  • It supports multiple currency exchange rates and supports both domestic and international travel claims and automatically applies the most up-to-date exchange rates

Cons

  • I feel there are a lot of unused menus, maybe a profile-based menu setup for users so that only essential menus are exposed to the end user, as some time can be saved in finding the right menu and options
  • It makes the reimbursement process hassle free and completely transparent with complete accountability of the entire expense
Not integrated any external application
I like the notification emails sent at every stage of approval or in case of any discrepancy in the scanned bills or if there are any missing bills, so that timely action can be taken and this ensures that you are up to date with the latest status of the travel claim.
Yes, it saves a lot of time you might spend in reconciliation of bills against travel approved amount, as it's automatically calculated by Concur, and it displays any differences in the claimed amount vs approved amount

It's a very systematic way to set up travel claims and get necessary approvals and complete expense reports for travel. Also, the entire history of trips and amounts spent can be exported in report formats. Overall it's an organised travel application

HR ,Sales and Materials,Production Planning,Maintenance ,IT ,Safety, Plant operations and Legal teams

2 - There are 2 IT personnel who handle all queries on how to use concur ,troubleshoot, setup access ,fix login issues and offer assistance to new users
  • For getting approvals for travel from higher up management for domestic and international travel
  • Create expense reports for the trip and get reimbursement

  • lately SAP concur has also been used for reimbursement of internet bills expenses for all employees in our organisation where users can update monthly internet bills and track reimbursements in concur
  • There are plans to move all reimbursement from the internal HR tool zingHR to concur for all types of reimbursement like local conveyance, taxi etc related as its more easier to track the reimbursement process
Concur is used extensively for travel approvals and booking for business trips both international and domestic,because its very easy to track approvals and reimbursements and also creating expense reports i will highly recommend concur and will be further renewing it
