What is Seaglass Cloud Technology?
Seaglass Cloud Technology (formerly Oxford Cloud Technology) designs, develops and integrates cloud-based software for the energy industry. Seaglass products, or the SG Suite, include Billing, CRM, Market Interaction, Pricing, Forecasting and Finance. The company boasts over 20 years experience in the market developing systems to suppliers in the market.
Seaglass' current suite includes:
- sgBill - A tool to guide the customer journeys from invoice to payment. It was designed with a clear objective: To allow users to bill anything, and bill everything.
- sgServe - A single customer view for all interactions and data. It gives permission-based access to information for data protection and customer privacy. Given the requisite permissions, users can see information such as registration details, call history, invoices and payments.
- sgPrice - A pricing engine that can deliver the level of complexity chosen, from basic all-inclusive tariff book prices through to user-defined costs, uplifts and calculation methodologies and bespoke pricing by meter. Prices generated can be broken down (and stored) to the components required for price comparisons, tracking or financial reporting, and then aggregated up into tariffs for use in other modules. These tariffs are also configured to display and bill at the level of aggregation desired.
- sgRisk - A forecasting tool that helps a business meet its energy supply commitments with real-time, meter point level forecasts of energy consumption, revenue and costs are updated each time a new data point (EAC/AQ/interval data) is received. Trades can be captured to ensure visibility of any unhedged position. Costs and settled volumes are allocated at meter point level, to reveal mismatches between billed and settled volumes. Granular records of costs and revenues allow the user to slice margin reports any way, and understand where your customer value lies.
- sgSign - A portal into the system which encourages loyalty from TPIs by making their lives easier and giving them controlled access to information. TPIs can upload or manually enter contracts and see the progress of contracts uploaded. Interfaces to PAF, ECOES and Xoserve ensure data quality and can fill in missing data. Credit agency interfaces perform instant credit checks using any specific criteria.
- sgInteract - A company’s window into the market. It sits at the core of the Seaglass suite of systems allowing users to send messages to, and receive messages from, other industry participants. The system has been designed to minimise the amount of manual input into market interactions. All data flows are handled electronically so there is no need to employ staff to create manual flows or copy data between systems.
