It is used as a project management tool within our internal creative studio. We use it to receive briefs (via forms), manage all tasks, communicate with stakeholders and each other, and to produce statistics about our productivity and output through the year. We also use it to communicate directly with external suppliers, such as printers, so they can be plugged directly into tasks.
Pros
Communication - it is easy to assign and tag people directly, and they can see the history of the job so far
Organisation - it is easy to group tasks of the same type, using tagging and folders
Reporting
Cons
Reporting - it can sometimes be difficult (or non-intuitive) to report things that aren't a specific 'Wrike metric'. For example I want to create a dashboard that filters by 2 different folder tags, so that I can report on task numbers, but I can't filter more than once for location as far as I can see.
I would also like to see some simple, easy ways of reporting things like - highest number of hours on a task, task that was active the longest etc. The kinds of metrics that were included in the Wrike round-up email at the end of the year would be interesting to report on throughout the year.
Project and task functionalities - we trip up over this quite a lot, why can we not create dashboards or reports that report on both projects and tasks?
Why are projects harder to find and less intuitive to engage with?
We now avoid creating projects because they don't behave the same way as tasks and they can't be reported on at the same time as tasks.
Project planning - it is quite difficult plotting out projects on a calendar view or GANTT chart. It is overly complicated to see what you're looking at and to plot the tasks.
It would be helpful to set multiple key dates within the task, e.g. deadline for studio, production deadline, go-live date.
It would also be good to be able to set multiple statuses at once
Likelihood to Recommend
It is perfect for receiving, managing and delivering the outcomes of creative briefs.
It is less good for planning / plotting wider scopes of work, because it can be too complicated and non-intuitive. For example it would be good to have a planning function that doesn't instantly connect to / create a task - because the planning happens before the tasks necessarily exist.
It's also hard to search for tasks, unless you use exact wording, more intelligent search functionality would be a massive help.
We are using Wrike in project management primarily - it is a great software helping us to manage projects, break-it-down into smaller tasks, assign the tasks to relevant team members (instead of writing unnecessary emails), keep a track of real-time status of the projects and get a snapshot/ report of the progress on each project within seconds. We don't need to write emails to assign a particular task to a team member, everything gets assigned simply on Wrike, we are maintaining a detailed description of the task on Wrike itself and logging call notes, project links and other important information against each particular project, to keep it handy instead of searching in email history.
Pros
Project Management
Timesheet maintain
Real-time progress of projects snapshot
Tasks assignment
Cons
Side-window on clicking a project name
Timesheet feature units can improve
Notifications and reminders management
Likelihood to Recommend
It is highly recommended where project volume is high and the priority is to maintain track record and progress of each project, where there are multiple tasks involved. It may not be appropriate in case of one-off clients where email exchange is necessary.
Wrike allows me to track project status with other departments very efficiently. It will also allow me to keep communications about multiple projects within the required channels, so items don't get confused or lost in other areas. Wrike will allow me to do my part of a project while also notifying others of their needed items, without having to send multiple emails about projects and having items get lost easily in that system.
Pros
Tracks the status of projects.
Allows me to communicate with others in the same project channels.
I can search other for other projects to check the status of items.
Allows me to upload files directly to the project.
Cons
The WrikeBot updates can be annoying.
Likelihood to Recommend
Wrike is helpful for organizations with numerous departments and employees who work from home or other locations. It allows me to easily see my tasks and track project status efficiently with others involved in the project.
Wrike is used primarily as a project-management tool. It allows for tasks to be divided between project members and timelines to be set, ensuring that all project members remain on task to deliver the project on time. It is also used to submit certain HR forms such as IT and travel requests.
Pros
Assign members to tasks
Reminders when tasks are past due
Cons
Can be hard to find files
Likelihood to Recommend
Best suited for inter and intra-team collaboration: dividing tasks between project members with responsibilities and deadlines being clear to all.

Account Manager in Product Management (11-50 employees)
We're a custom solutions provider for generator packages, with R&D as a central component of everyday life. R&D project management and scheduling is by most metrics, nearly impossible. We manage the impossible with Wrike as part of our core infrastructure. I describe it to others as a type of odd marriage between MS Project and Facebook with file management. We use the scheduling components and resource loading features similar to Project, but with the communication pathways and stream components of Facebook. The customization options are nearly endless. Dashboards are one of the best ways to consolidate and organize task assignments I've seen. Time tracking and reporting features are crucial for time KPI tracking. Performance KPIs can be pulled directly from task performance with task tagging and filter settings. File version management helps us to meet our ISO 9001 targets by holding a complete history with version comparison and markup features built into the software. It's not a cheap software, but there is certainly a calculable ROI - an easy yes.
Pros
file version control and markup
resource planning and projection
KPI collection
task assignment organization
Cons
predecessor behaviors
GANTT chart functionality
merging old versions of Wrike structures with new versions (blueprint rollout)

Wrike is well-suited for engineering applications or other technical applications that are notoriously difficult to manage.
We are are a small publishing organization that produces books and video based curriculums. In addition to producing these assets we also handle all our own marketing campaigns and customer support services. Wrike serves as the tool to not only track the production of our products, but also all our campaigns and operations.
Pros
Asset reviews
Workflow customization and automations
Multiple views for projects (i.e. Gantt, calendar, resourcing, etc.)
Cons
More flexibility on custom reporting
Better integrations with other PM tools like Jira
Likelihood to Recommend
Wrike is great for publishing and marketing teams and covers the wide gamut of assets that could be produced by such teams (ebooks, print files, videos, social media, etc.). We are also doing discovery to bring in our accounting teams as we can see how it would also translate to that use case as well. Where it still isn't top tier is in how it's structured for development teams. Wrike is definitely more catered to creatives than programmers.
I use Wrike for project management and collaboration across multiple teams within my organization. Use can be straightforward for a single deliverable or for a multi-phased campaign that requires many actions and assets delivered by multiple teams. Using Wrike keeps are projects tracked for historical reference and on schedule, given the clear milestones we can capture along with direct assignments.
Pros
Manage timelines.
Creative review.
Track updates and comments.
Cons
Blueprints can be tricky to replicate.
More flexibility in separating followers, assignees within tasks and sub-tasks.
Notifications settings.

The creative review tool is my favorite. It makes it so easy for multiple people to provide very direct and prices feedback that the designer does not have to guess where specifically in the document we are referring. Being able to resolve tasks and track the edits and updates you have made is also very helpful. I do wish that you could outline multiple areas and tie them to a singular comment.
Wrike is the epicenter of your working day once you overcome the first shock of the setup. The fact that I can see the health of twenty different initiatives at a glance makes me feel in control in a way that never existed with spreadsheets. It creates a culture of responsibility since all activities are timed and can be seen. It prevents, I did not know that happened to be my case.
Pros
The custom workflow
Has a very different meaning to the marketing team as compared to IT and logistics.
The dynamic request forms are excellent in intake
Cons
As opposed to endless email chains, internal stakeholders complete a form which would automatically generate a task
Assign to the correct person and fill out all the required specs. It cuts out so much noise.
the Gantt charts are surprisingly dynamic and strong.
Likelihood to Recommend
It does phenomenally well with multipurpose projects. It was a reputable subject who knew what was blocked and who. It glorifies when complexity is great. It, however, has a poor performance with simple, ad hoc task management or quick brainstorming. In case I only have to write down a list of the day's checklist.
In our organization we use Wrike for project management and time tracking. It's is for managing our tasks and tracking project time .We appreciate most the way each task can have It's own assigned responsibilities ,start and end date ,attached files, customized tags and description which enhances detailed tracking of work especially when dealing with projects with multiple teams. Also provide great dashboards that allow us to see the status of all task that is(in progress pending ,completed or cancelled) which help us to prioritize better.Additionally helps us to create and prepare best workflow charts for our project and ensure that all team members are involved which in turn keep the workflow continuously on track and help us meeto the set delivery dates.
Pros
Project management
Collaborative task management
Tracking of due dates and timelines
Managing of task and workflows
Visualization of tasks and their progress
Keeping all communication and files about projects in a single place
Cons
The tool lacks some project automation features
I feel should have an improvement on its task organization section, instead of segmentinh them by due dates order ,should allows to organize them according to order of importance.
