Use Cases and Deployment Scope

We used Zerto for disaster recovery and it is very easy to use. The fail over process is easy as well as the fail back process. Very busy SQL servers can sometimes will be a difficult to keep in sync, but following Zerto's best practice guide will help with these issues.

Use Cases and Deployment Scope

We are using Zerto for disaster recovery, special in cases where a very low RPO is required. This is mostly from VMware to VMware. This what Zerto can do very well. We also use Zerto for migrations from (mostly) Hyper V to VMware. Zerto can manage as one of the few to do this from Hyper V to VMware whitout to much trouble. A very good part is in this case is also the there is a 'provider' part but also a customer part and the customer can do it's own migrations en (test) fail-overs.

No refresh button to import new config from VMWare
Ghost VRA are not always removable

Positive, with a site down, the recovery was just a few seconds and vm's came back up
Migration of very sensitive vm's from different platforms went smoothly
In one rear case de migratie went wrong (because of the virtualization platform) Zerto got stuck on this. The replication needed to be new initiated.

VM migration.
Cross VM platform migration.

Cons

Moving a VM from one protection group to another could be simplified.
I would like to see an executive-style report of recovery and testing for upper management.
The ability to deploy Zerto as a virtual appliance, without the need for a windows server.

Return on Investment

Zerto has consistently performed as expected, assuring management of our ability to recover our most critical servers in a timely fashion.
The cost of Zerto per VM is on par with other solutions, but much easier to use!
Zerto has become a critical component of our recovery process.
Zerto support has been good when our engineers have an issue that they are unable to resolve themselves.

We use Zerto for disaster recovery and site replication between our primary and DR datacenters. We are able to recover our virtual servers in near real-time from a failure or disaster event. Zerto helps us meet audit and regulatory needs in the banking industry for backup/recovery of our datacenters.

Great ROI, very positive for our business.
The cost of downtime makes Zerto worth it, we have been able to restore VMs in seconds instead of hours with other solutions.
Per VM pricing is a big plus, no need to waste $$ on VMs we don't need to protect.
