Overall Satisfaction with ABBYY FineReader
FineReader is being used currently by our analytics and data processing division in which it has been a staple in our business for the last 10 years. It solves a critical problem in recognizing and converting scanned documents as well as attachments into various formats to distribute amongst the team and organization. The sophistication of the software is impressive in how it can handle and automatically read whatever documents it's provided with suggested file outputs.
- Read and analyze complicated documents
- Automatically recognize tables and charts
- Convert any documents into various common formats
- Defining lines within tables is a bit tricky
- Improving the scanned documents resolution to process small fonts
- Converting scanned documents into editable formats
- Recognizing and formatting tables for use in Excel
- Processing and analyzing hundreds of pages with a single click of a button
- Workload efficiency has more than quadrupled
- Saving exhausted hands from typing or trying to replicate a physical document
- Replaced workforce jobs by automatically converting documents instantly
While Adobe Reader can identify documents and convert them to some other various formats, it cannot process the documents to identify tables for use in Excel. We only had success by letting Adobe read a file for any identifiable text but it wasn't always accurate. FineReaders ability to handle hundreds of pages at once felt leaps and bounds above Adobe.
