Overall Satisfaction with MIP Fund Accounting (formerly Abila MIP)
MIP Fund Accounting is used as our main accounting software, it is used for reporting, tracking, and storing vendor information. These are just a few of the ways that it is being used. MIP Fund Accounting is used by one department at our organization. The only department at our organization that necessarily needs an accounting software, is our finance department.
- It easliy stores vendor information.
- Is able to pull as detailed of reports as you desire to build.
- Once learned, it is fairly easy and clear to navigate throughout the software.
- The design of MIP is lacking and feels retro in most ways.
- It takes a while to learn to navigate the system, if it was a little more streamlined it would not take as long to learn.
- The design of the report builder is a bit tedious and not as efficient as it could possibly be.
- A positive impact is that it is mostly reliable.
- A positive impact is that it provides pertty much everything we need in one place.
- A negative impact would be the amount of time it takes for someone new to the software to learn it.
Our non-profit organization has been able to manage multiple funds from multiple sources because of the features that MIP Fund Accounting provides. The features that MIP Fund Accounting provides are fairly easy to navigate once learned, which makes managing multiple funds from multiple sources an easy thing to do.
MIP Fund Accounting has many alternatives that challenge it, but this is the only accounting software that provides everything we need in one place. Other programs do not offer as many features or as many details at your finger tips. MIP Fund Accounting is a software that is customizable and we like that.
