Overall Satisfaction with Absorb LMS

We use Absorb LMS for tracking HR compliance training, whose content we also source from Absorb LMS. We also use the platform for registration and tracking of instructor led events including large annual workshops and smaller functional in-person & live web based training. We also use the platform to administer and track continuous micro learning offered through LinkedIn Learning. We use Absorb LMS to maintain official certification records for our Bulk power system compliance auditors, who make up more than a third of our employee population.

Pros

  • Sending customized notifications to learners
  • third party seamless connections to content libraries and HRIS systems
  • Interface makes it easy to find assigned learning

Cons

  • The calendar function is sparse - it would be nice to be able to view major upcoming events on a calendar - not just courses in which one has been enrolled
  • Platform still lacks a seamless course approval process - when you'd like learners to submit requests for courses and get approval from a chain of people
  • In my opinion, the reporting system (Analyze) is not very intuitive
  • Seamless onboarding training experience with each new employee onboarded within 10 days

Absorb LMS support is the best ever! They are always available, and will always ensure one's concerns are addressed in a timely manner. They follow up to ensure each issue is completely resolved before closing out a case.
Absorb LMS's interface and customer service were a great improvement from our experience with Skillsoft

I think Absorb LMS is well suited for smaller - mid sized organizations that can make do without a lot of automation. In my opinion, it's less well suited for larger complex organizations cause some features and functionalities are not very sophisticated, and still require a degree of manual data manipulation
