Use Cases and Deployment Scope

Accounting Seed is used as our accounting software across the company. It integrates perfectly with Salesforce allowing us to have full integration across all sectors of the organization. When someone learns how to retrieve information via reports in Salesforce, they can run reports in Accounting Seed. All our accounting reports and project management reports come from Accounting Seed.

Pros and Cons

Fully integrated into Salesforce so financial information is linked to all aspects of the organization.
Customer service is excellent and with timely and helpful solutions.
Upgrades are announced well ahead of pushing them out. Accounting Seed handles all the effort. When upgraded, you are assured there are no problems with it continuing to work with your other applications in Salesforce
Being built on the Force.com platform, many applications are available to add to the Accounting Seed application to expand its abilities.
Customization is simple and integrates across all aspects of Salesforce.

I would love to see more predesigned reports.

Return on Investment

Accounting Seed has been available to use at a reasonable annual cost.
Installation, setup and integration cost were reasonable.
Customization is simple so we do it our selves and saved money not using outside consultants

Alternatives Considered

Financial Edge

We moved from Financial Edge to Accounting Seed because we needed a cloud-based accounting system. Financial Edge allowed us to access the system from a shared server but it was not made for that. Financial Edge was not updated much over the years we used it while technology was steadily changing. Accounting Seed updates 2-4 times a year always improving on functionality and features.

Usability

It always works well. We've never had programming issues. Never. It is easy to customize. The system can grow with you as your business grows and changes. Being cloud-based you can work from anywhere. It is intuitive. You have all the features of Salesforce, like workflows, that work perfectly in Accounting Seed. Having that full integration with Salesforce allows you to see all our data in one platform.

Support Rating

We seldom have had to use their support but when we have, they have been responsive and actually were able to answer our questions in a simple, nontech language. You don't have to be a programmer to talk to them!

Likelihood to Recommend

Accounting Seed is great for project management. Budgets can be done at the project level. Its full integration with Salesforce makes it a great cloud-based accounting solution for a small to mid-sized business.

Seeing all your data in one place makes the most sense.
