Overall Satisfaction with Acumatica
As the accounting manager I use Acumatica to enter, track, and analyze financial data. We also use it to track project data and WIP information.
Pros
- Project detail task tracking
- Project billing
- General inquiry customization
Cons
- Reporting doesn’t always pull accurate data
- AR aged period specific does not actually pull based on a frozen time in history
- Not super user friendly for those that are not tech savvy like field employees in our construction company
- So many customizations needed to make our company structure work which creates added cost for our support team.
- Great for tracking breakdown of project tasks tying to cost codes so the financial data is accurate and nothing is posted to closed projects.
- Expense receipt tracking is great and easy to use for those that are used to working in an ERP. Field team for our company disagrees.
4-6 months
The GI capability and dashboards have helped us make customized home pages for each level of employee on the project trams so they can see clearly what needs their attention without having to dig into the software.
I use Acumatica as an accounting professional within a construction company. It is used for our project based accounting and to track employee time cards and expenses.
This was used in a different industry. When I started at my current company there were things I missed about Sage Intacct as far as the accounting portion of my job is considered. However, the project accounting portion of Acumatica is very helpful in my current industry.
