Overall Satisfaction with Acumatica

Our company required we use an ERP solution. The firm moved from a legacy CPA practice management program to Acumatica ERP. This was a large scale change.

Pros

  • Data Views/Dashboards

Cons

  • API integration with external applications needs to improve
  • Professional services functionality specific to CPA accounting
  • Scheduling/resource utilization
  • Implementation included a high level of change management, change resistance, however once done that ROI and business intelligence reporting won the day.
  • We have the data and business intelligence reporting required to manage our business more effectively than in the legacy systems we used.
  • Having a dedicated VAR is a great benefit in implementation, upgrades, customizations.
Better billing practices of customer projects with invoice options our customers prefer. We better manage projects, billing and A/R including monthly statements. Customers receive detail, summary or progress billing with the right level of explanation of services delivered.
As a CPA firm, Acumatica meets our needs to manage customer records, projects, employee time activities, billing, accounts receivables, accounts payables, and business intelligence reporting.

Ability to work with a VAR to setup the ERP out of the box and differently than we used to do it. CPA accounting is not the core industry of Acumatica customer base, so some customization was required.
