Overall Satisfaction with Acumatica

We use it as a full ERP from project reporting to time tracking and equipment timecards. Of course, for financials, intercompany and fixed assets. We are globally diverse, and it helps us stay connected and on the same place. I use it every day, all day! So I’m a very active and every day user.

Pros

  • Fixed assets!!!

Cons

  • The AP/payables system
  • Adding up screens on same page to see tying out easily
  • User management/security
  • 5 day business close
  • Security is terrible in my opinion
  • AP system is bad from my experience
We have no used Acumatica AI yet but do use reports out of Acumatica in outside AI WHICH IS interesting
Again we haven’t yet
We get reports out within 5 days now. We have introduced job costing to help them understand their business. Our numbers are professional and in real time. They can dig into their own numbers now and ask specific questions. They can see their reports on their projects which is nice too.
We have a track construction group, so we are not using it to its full potential. I wish we could. But it takes time and money to implement fully. However prior to Acumatica we did not have job costing so just having that functionality is most important to us and has helped a lot.
I’m really happy we went with Acumatica over Microsoft. To me, they are more innovative and pushing out changes all the time which is important to me. There are some serious settings that need to change that I wish it would adopt from Microsoft like the user security which is so overwhelming in Acumatica

Multi company/inter company, it’s so nice it does the accounting for you as this is usually a very cumbersome process especially for new accountants so that’s probably my favorite feature. I also love the level that you can do job costing and combined real accounting with real operations! So that is important too
