Overall Satisfaction with Acumatica

I create customization for Acumatica that solve our business needs. This involves using and extending base Acumatica functions and screens. Additionally, I interact with code specific documentation and discussion boards daily. So far, I have had to learn and use most every function inside of Acumatica and have extended actions, workflows, pages and have created custom business logic to accomplish my goals. With writing custom logic I interact with the Acuminitor daily as well.

Given my current scope, I would say Acumatica is flexible to many needs and allows the system to fit nicely to any organization.

Pros

Cons

  • Error handling and messages are not descriptive or useful
  • Documentation is too basic and does not go in depth enough
  • Acuminitor is buggy
  • Recompile and load times kill my workflow I feel
  • I have no Idea and don't want to give you erroneous data
I am the wrong person to ask this question but I am sure it helps us meet our goals. Acumatica is our driving factor for sales and manufacturing and without it we could not conduct our business effectively. Additionally, this helps us keep our shipping and receiving on track as well.

Would you buy Acumatica again?

Yes

This is the only ERP system I have created customizations for so I don't have a good base of reference. I would say that this this is an legacy system that is overly bloated and complex. It has not kept pace with modern tech stacks and is frustrating to develop for. My frustrations stem from the long recompile times after builds or publications and the unexplained cache-based errors that vanish after the cache is cleared.
