Overall Satisfaction with Adaptive Suite
We use Adaptive across the entire organization to budget to budget for each department. In addition, we utilize the product to provide monthly budget to actual variances to the department heads. It allows all the department heads to access their budgets at anytime without the possibility of them modifying it. In addition, it cuts down on Excel formula busts and keeps a record of all budget revisions.
- The product is very user friendly for non-accountants.
- The formulas calculations and roll-ups of departments work very well.
- The personnel aspects and calculations are something that would take forever to do into Excel.
- The announcements section is hard to impossible to use.
- The audit trail function does not identify if someone deleted a line or line split in the budget.
- The Discovery Suite was difficult to use. However, I have not used it since it was updated.
- It has decreased the amount of involvement of the accounting department with fixing busted formulas.
- It has increased the efficiency of the department heads by having all of the actual and prior budget information right there.

I have more time to think about the budget and for analytics with budget data to actual versus ensuring Excel is compiling the information correctly.

Excel is hard for 60 departments to roll up to a consolidated budget without formulas breaking all the time.
