Overall Satisfaction with Adobe Acrobat

I am the lead designer at American Medicals and I utilize Adobe Acrobat Pro daily to create editable forms for my company supervisors to fill out and electronically sign. It also comes in handy for converting any Word or Excel documents into PDF files for easier file sharing and storage.

Pros

Cons

  • The Edit Object tool isn't very precise making it difficult to manipulate certain elements of a PDF
  • Edit Document Text will only work if text is very clear and the font is familiar. It would be nice if it could decipher more.
  • Some documents won't render correctly when exported as an Excel Document.

  • Acrobat single-handedly keeps the communication between our company and our government customers flowing smoothly.
  • Our customers tend to provide us with price lists that are in PDF form. These are usually impossible to manipulate. Especially when we want to add our prices to the document. Acrobat allows us to easily export the PDF document into an Excel file so that we can keep our records organized correctly.

We needed a program that could convert PDF forms quickly and was easy to use. We deal with many documents that are needing to be filled in and/or electronically signed by my Supervisor and Adobe Acrobat makes that process very simple. We also have a few customers that send lengthy Excel spreadsheets that need to be converted into PDF files so that we can view them easily.
We are a medical supply company and the majority of our customers consists of government medical facilities. Security at these facilities is of very high importance and Acrobat helps us keep all of our incoming and outgoing documents encrypted and secure when needed. Especially when they are needing to be electronically signed by my Supervisors.

We use Adobe Acrobat the most when we have to change a regular PDF into a editable form. Most times it is when the VA sends us documents that can not be written on or scanned. We will convert the document to a fillable PDF and make our edits that way as to keep within government guidelines.
