Overall Satisfaction with Adobe Acrobat

I work in the IT department and Acrobat is the software we support and deploy to users when they need something that can manipulate PDF's by adding text or editing pages. It seems to be a common software used between most companies and it is fairly easy for users to understand and operate.
  • Edit Text & Sections in PDF's
  • Allow to set fields for text submissions
  • Syncs to PC and or cloud
  • Some of the icons are no intuitive for users who don't go into the software much
  • The flow and layout of settings is odd compared to most programs
  • Sometimes it is hard to select certain items when trying to edit.
  • Combine Files
  • Chop Files
  • Edit Text and images
  • Scalability
  • Ease of Use
I would say one of the biggest selling points is how Adobe is the most well-known when it comes to PDF's. Most people in business and personal needs usually have some sort of experience with Adobe so it is familiar to them.
  • Price is too high for the functions offered
  • Simple to use when you need to manipulate PDF's saving time
We try not to let users save in the Adobe cloud and honestly would like to turn this function off for users. There is not too much of a security concern otherwise because the software is installed on PC's that are consistently being monitored by our IT Department. We have started using sign and security is more of a concern here with confidential documents being sent around.
We try to keep standards. We only offer Adobe products besides what is available with the built-in Edge PDF. It seems to offer decent options for general PDF viewing purposes and allows some basic features like highlighting and adding text boxes.

Do you think Adobe Acrobat delivers good value for the price?

No

Are you happy with Adobe Acrobat's feature set?

Yes

Did Adobe Acrobat live up to sales and marketing promises?

No

Did implementation of Adobe Acrobat go as expected?

Yes

Would you buy Adobe Acrobat again?

Yes

Adobe is well suited for users that constantly need to manipulate PDF's. This is chopping pages off, combining pages, or editing certain text and fields on a PDF. It is not needed for the basic user who just essentially needs the reader product for viewing purposes. Edge now has a build in viewer as well and there are some additional functions that suit majority of the users.
