Adobe Acrobat does it all
Overall Satisfaction with Adobe Acrobat
We use Acrobat to create editable PDFs for our customers to create custom promotional materials to help promote their movie events. It allows them to customize to their needs and helps offload design work.
Pros
- It helps us keep design files smaller and helps us deliver them via email
- It helps our production (print) by allowing us to send one compact file to our printer for high-quality results, without the need to send larger design files with links.
- It's great at keeping vector elements intact and also allows our marketing people to make edits, post-design.
Cons
- Sometimes, editing text can cause undesirable results - or fonts are sometimes replaced.
- File sizes can sometimes become extremely large for reasons that aren't readily identifiable.
- One feature I would like to see, is the ability to print multiple pages on one sheet more easily; the print setup dialog does offer something like this, but lacks the ability to really control the output.
- It does save us time in our design workflow to help get proofs approved.
- Integration with Other Systems
- Ease of Use
I haven't really noticed any negative effects, so I presume the security works great.
