Overall Satisfaction with Adobe Acrobat DC

I have typically used Acrobat to read, comment, and make light edits to PDF files. Additionally, I use Acrobat with Clients, as our software exports proof reviews into Acrobat PDF files. Acrobat is a trusted standard that makes it easy to create, edit and share pdf files. I’m not an Illustrator power user, so Acrobat is much more approachable to me.
  • PDF creation
  • PDF reviewing
  • Light editing
  • Better ability to import formatting from a pdf created in word.
  • Better integration with proofing tools.
  • Version compare tools
  • Light editing
  • Viewing
  • Simple authoring
  • Time saved for pdf editing
  • No need to use more complex tools like Illustrator or InDesign for simple authoring and editing.
  • PDF viewing
I think it works well for pdf viewing on mobile. For my prefererence, desktop/laptop is still best for authoring and editing.
I do not typically have to do encryption when sharing.
I don’t think Acrobat has any legitimate competitors in the space. It is the industry standard and I have not really used any competitors.

I wasn't involved with the selection/purchase process

Yes

Would you buy Adobe Acrobat again?

Yes

If you need to do simple pdf creation, light editing, and conversions from other authoring tools like word, I think Acrobat is great, especially if you are not a professional designer. Acrobat makes it easy to engage with pdf files. That is the use case and it handles it quite well.
