Overall Satisfaction with Adobe Acrobat

We do a lot of converting of .doc files to PDF, so Acrobat allows us to make those conversions cleanly with lots of flexibility. Acrobat also allows us to easily edit PDFs that have already been created without having to convert them back to .doc files unnecessarily. When I am editing chord charts, specifically, Acrobat is the quickest way to fix PDFs.

  • Paywall for some PDF editing if you don't own Adobe CS

The most important factor was the ability to edit PDFs in all the possible ways that Acrobat provides. We needed the ability to edit various fields, text, and even margins/formatting, and Acrobat was the best way to do that. There is no better program for the amount of PDF editing tools
  • Increased productivity
  • Ease of file sharing
  • Improved compliance
  • Reduction in formatting errors
We have appreciated the increase in security and compliance standards from Adobe, which enables us to better trust them with billing data and other sensitive data that may be stored in the accounts or in the cloud. This also makes it easier to encourage our staff and volunteers in the information they choose to save through Adobe
We went with Adobe because they set the bar for PDF creation, conversion, and editing. Although they are more expensive, Acrobat is included in a CS subscription which helps mitigate the cost if other Adobe products are used/needed. Third-party PDF programs may work in most circumstances, but Adobe Acrobat will work in ALL circumstances in which a PDF is used.

Acrobat is well-suited for editing PDFs that come from different converted sources, like Songselect or PraiseCharts, two web-based products we use for generating song chart PDFs. I have ben able to fix error charts without having to contact the parent company.

Acrobat is a little clunky when it tries to replace Preview as the default PDF viewer - for simple viewing/reading, Acrobat has too much going on in its user interface. It's much better-suited for editing than reading
