Overall Satisfaction with Adobe Captivate

We use Adobe Captivate mainly for creating assessments for online course development. There are no business issues for us. We use the tool as needed.
  • It creates interactive assessments and activities.
  • It has a quality set of tools to engage and guide the students.
  • The integration of videos is seamless.
  • The most glaring issue with Adobe Captivate is its captioning.
  • The resizing of text boxes and images can be more efficient.
  • Backward capability between versions of Adobe Captivate needs to work better from a file saving standpoint.
  • Again, the positive impact it has is the facts is a powerful tool for creating assessments.
  • The negative impact can be integration with the LMS from a back and front end perspective. There hasn't been a negative impact on our ROI.
Articulate Storyline and 360 are far better than Adobe Captivate. Camtasia is used for specific projects as Adobe Captivate is in some regards.
It's suited for creating graded assessments, affirmation learning, just in time training, etc. It's less appropriate for creating lectures/presentations.
