A Decent AI Image Generation Tool
Overall Satisfaction with Adobe Firefly
I have used Adobe Firefly to quickly create graphics that aren't incredibly important for things like internal company newsletters, presentation backgrounds, or email graphics. Adobe Firefly might not be the best program for graphics that are centrally important because there may be odd details that don't make sense in the images if they are scrutinized too closely.
Pros
- Is quick
- Is intuitive
- Is fairly responsive
Cons
- It can be difficult to get Firefly to make the changes you wish for it to make to an image
- Sometimes Firefly is too influenced by a particular idea that is more common to the prompt you are giving but becomes a roadblock. (For example, if you ask for it to create an image of a beagle, it will always be a white beagle. You will not be able to get it to create other colors because a white beagle is most common.)
- Adobe Firefly can save time and money if you use it to create images instead of sourcing and purchasing stock images, depending on how much time you spend creating an image within Firefly.
Adobe Firefly biggest difference from Adobe Illustrator's generative image tools is not being vector-based like Illustrator. Firefly is a little more pared down in it's interface and a little easier to pick up use, but is also therefore more limited in user settings. Overall, they are pretty well matched, but you need to choose your program based on if you need a vector-based output.
