Overall Satisfaction with Adobe Photoshop

In our company, we develop eLearning training, videos and instructor-led training. Editing images using Photoshop is an essential tool for us. Photoshop is used in our business development department, marketing department, safety training department, and training department. Without Photoshop, we could not develop visually stimulating materials. The amount of training available on youtube and LinkedIn Learning alone makes Photoshop viable for a beginner.
  • Large amount of training available on LinkedIn Learning and Youtube makes Photoshop easy to learn.
  • Lots of features and features to choose from to create different looks from one image.
  • Relatively easy to use and fairly intuitive to navigate.
  • There are less expensive options available, but you get what you pay for.
  • I cannot do my job without Photoshop. I can make one image into several because of Photoshop, so the cost is nearly negligible.
  • This is a must-have tool for instructional designers and graphic designers.
It has been years since I have looked at an alternative. The alternatives that I looked up in the past no longer exist and I do not remember their name. Although I listed five years of experience, I did not include when I used Photoshop in college back with Photoshop 2.0, before layers (released in 3.0). There were competitors back then and they paled in comparison.
I have not called support for Adobe Photoshop, so I cannot give an honest evaluation. I have called Adobe for Captivate and although they are attentive, they provided no solutions for the problems at hand in were indifferent to fixing the solution. But that was another product and my involve another location that is not in India. Although they were polite and did contact me to fix the problem. That is a good sign, but again, that was another product.

Photoshop can do nearly anything with an image. Some of the functions are easy to use, such as their filters. If you want to convert an image to appear like a painting, there is a filter that can do that for you. If you want to make a person's eyes bigger, there is a simple function for that, which is amazing. Photoshop can perform a plethora of tasks depending on the person's needs and knowledge.
