Overall Satisfaction with Adobe PhotoShop
We use Photoshop internally in my department to support projects that we work on, and we also support other users as they work on their own projects. It is our go-to raster image editing software, and is frequently use on designing posters, presentations, and elements for video projects such as titles and lower thirds.
- Isolate elements within a photograph.
- Combine pieces from multiple photographs.
- Manage layers and elements for creating a composition.
- Too many features - can be overwhelming for a novice.
- Redundant features - there are several ways to accomplish most tasks.
- Frequent updates - I do miss the old days before cloud where you could get a version and it would work for years. Now you have o update every few months, and occasionally get bugs.
- Open and edit any format of photograph.
- Manage assets by using layers and PSD files for later revisions.
- Compatibility across Mac and PC, as well as backwards compatibility where older version of Photoshop can open newer PSD files.
- Users like being able to accomplish any photo editing task they can imagine.
- Makes support easy because we only need to learn one app.
- I have no doubt it will continue to exist, not be absorbed or phased out.
