Overall Satisfaction with Adobe PhotoShop
I use [Adobe] Photoshop for digital advertising, photo corrections, image enhancement and more. This includes work both for clients and myself. It is a tool that helps make sure that images appear pixel perfect. It also is the primary tool for creation of web page banners (without text) and creation of small ads. I also use it to incorporate images in print pieces as well.
- Scripting - being able to reuse a script to quickly do tasks that I commonly do is huge.
- Photo corrections from color to background removal, Photoshop is an efficient way to get the exact result you want.
- Creation of pixel perfect images for web use is essential for proper visual presentation but also for optimizing image size.
- The ability to automatically see the revised image in Illustrator and InDesign is great.
- The ability to create editable text in [Adobe] Photoshop for use on other documents and web pages is a limitation that doesn’t present a problem per se, but would be great if somehow it could be done.
- Text formatting is another limitation of Photoshop. I generally try to limit text creation in Photoshop.
- Specific size editing
- Color corrections
- Background removal/editing
- Integration with InDesign and Illustrator
- Image optimization
- Highlights my expertise in the use of imagery for all formats.
- Creates a sense of trust that the desired result can be achieved.
- Helps customers maintain their brand expectations even if the image wasn’t originally meeting it.
