Overall Satisfaction with Adobe Workfront
we use Adobe Workfront to record interactions held with industry analysts and Analyst written reports. the purpose of doing this is to track Analyst written reports from creation until publication to see our ROI. interactions help give context to what was discussed during engagements & are usually connected to reports which help drive it to publication. in our department, we connect with analysts & form relationships so they can help get our AWS Amazon products out to new customers and strengthen the relationship w/ current customers
Pros
- fusion - we love to customize for our specific use cases. fusion is the backend to workfront & are connected.
- projects - love the tasks, document, assignments & updates sections
- requests - love that we can submit requests & manage out of a queue.
Cons
- automated emails - (ex: project is overdue) we can enhance via fusion, but would be nice to be able to do w/o leveraging fusion - makes it simpler for admins
- way to document how everything connects together (fields on custom forms - to the request forms using those fields - to queue requests live in - to reports & dashboards measuring those reports) I have to remember everything but we have a lot in our department so it would be nice to see better tracking
- outlook integration - workfront x outlook integration BROKE in August 2024 & it hasn't been fixed!!!
- it helps us organize our work & effectively manage from start to finish
- we are able to measure our impact
we have completely customized the tool. for example, we track our goals in WF. we submit goals in WF as a requests which are "actions" in a project. team members update their goals throughout each calendar year. goals are ways to keep our team members on track to show contributions to our department beyond day to day responsibilities. some can be professional development goals like getting certifications, or developing training material to educate the team so they are efficient.
