Overall Satisfaction with ADP SmartCompliance
[ADP] SmartCompliance is being used for payroll tax filing, issuing payments for payroll payments for employees and for issuing W-2 statements. By ADP doing the filing they are able to process filings to all the states electronically or at least based on the states requirements. They are able to help identify potential issues before the end of each quarter with their Audit reports. Prior to [ADP] SmartCompliance, other vendors were used.
Pros
- Preparation for Tax filing the reports that identify issues so that as a client we can fix before sending final tax file for quarter and annually
- W-2 balancing reports are thorough and quickly identify the employees that are errors and won't generate W-2's for
- The easy set up of new states. More recently ADP started offering the filing of application for companies for new states but in general to get a new state set up even if we as a client don't have all the account #'s the process is pretty simple
- ADP also helps company stay compliant with POA's much easier than 10 years ago.
Cons
- The wage payment area could have betting reporting with returned/deleted payments.
- Tax filing funding - when there is a credit how and when applied could be handled better.
Do you think ADP SmartCompliance delivers good value for the price?
Yes
Are you happy with ADP SmartCompliance's feature set?
Yes
Did ADP SmartCompliance live up to sales and marketing promises?
I wasn't involved with the selection/purchase process
Did implementation of ADP SmartCompliance go as expected?
I wasn't involved with the implementation phase
Would you buy ADP SmartCompliance again?
Yes
- For Wage payment - the way they handle checks that are not cashed has made reporting abandon property less of a burden on the payroll department.
- On a negative note ADP supposedly changed from filing Washington LNI/Workers compensation electronically. Since they went electronic all files have been rejected which in turn create penalty and interest for late/not file returns.
