Overall Satisfaction with Amazon Redshift
We use Amazon Redshift for our insights platform in our R&D space. Our team creates reports and dashboards on tools for business use. Amazon Redshift provides greater supply chain visibility, increased information on product movement, and high efficiency at a much faster rate.
- Robust as compared to traditional database/data warehouse
- Offers significant query speeds
- Low cost of ownership
- Provides MPP only for AWS-supported storages
- Prerequisites for configuring tables are not easy
- Not great for use with web apps
- Lightning speed
- Business is keen to use cloud-based products
- Due diligence required for initial (migration) phase
Amazon Redshift is one of the fastest service offerings available in the market now. Plus you get an advantage of using a cutting edge compute service offering from AWS. Other technologies are fast but not as good as Amazon Redshift, I would say. Our business is interested in exploring technologies offered by a company in the form of stack unlike others which only concentrate on offering one of the services.
