AnyDesk is the Cross-Platform IT Workhorse.
Overall Satisfaction with AnyDesk
AnyDesk addresses the business problems of remote work inefficiency and high IT support costs by enabling fast, secure access to machines across all of my locations, including servers, office systems, and co-workers' devices. The scope of my use case involves System Administration (unattended server access), Remote Access (using my office laptop remotely), and Technical Support (fixing other employee laptops).
Pros
- Easy remote access.
- Low Latency.
- Lightweight Client.
- Bandwidth Efficiency.
- High Frame Rates.
Cons
- Admin Toolset e.g., viewing remote system diagnostics, managing services, or viewing event logs.
- Multi-Monitor.
- Increased Productivity.
- Reduced IT Support Costs.
- Minimized Server Downtime.
- Operational Scalability.
- Security Risk and Data Breach.
- Licensing/Admin Overhead.
- Lack of Proactive Monitoring.
If my co-worker uses MacBooks, Linux development machines, or needs support on a mobile device, standard RDP/RDS cannot natively or easily provide support.
