Overall Satisfaction with Apollo.io
Our company primarily utilizes Apollo.io for outbound sales development. Specifically, we use it to build and target prospect lists and to automate efficient outreach activities. The main business problems this product addresses are the discovery of sales leads, streamlining outreach processes, and significantly reducing the time and effort required to gather information on target companies and decision-makers. In terms of scope, our use case covers the entire outbound sales process, including researching new prospects, creating lists, automating email outreach, and follow-up activities.
Pros
- Sequence
- Email
- Template
Cons
- Sequence: I would like to use it on extension
- Please adjust the Sequence tasks to focus on the person. For example, after completing a call task, it should move on to the email task for the same person. Also, the switching time is too slow—it often takes a long time, or sometimes doesn’t switch at all.
- When focusing on the Japanese market, localization into Japanese hasn’t been fully supported. Outreach, however, made strong efforts to provide support tailored for Japan.
I don't know because Japanese is not covered at all.
- Outreach
In Outreach, when a Sequence ends, a pop-up automatically appears prompting you to add the person to the next Sequence. Apollo.io doesn’t have this feature. Outreach also allows you to run Sequences directly from the Extension, and the workflow is person-centric. For example, within the same contact, the tasks flow smoothly from call to email.
In Apollo.io, tasks are grouped by type rather than by person—so first you make calls for everyone, then send emails for everyone. On the People screen, switching tasks takes a long time, and in most cases, tasks don’t switch at all.
Additionally, due to security restrictions, Apollo.io does not allow you to copy and paste from previously sent emails, which makes follow-ups less efficient.
