Overall Satisfaction with Appian

Support was great at the beginning but has declined as my knowledge increased.
We use Appian to support our institutional product line. It replaced legacy homegrown applications that did not scale.
  • Appian is able to hit the ground running and develop quickly
  • Appian is always putting out new features
  • Appian installs are difficult and time consuming
  • Appian could give more control to designers on the user experience
  • Positive ROI we were able to decommission many legacy systems
  • Negative that we ended up hiring consultants as there is a lack of local talent with experience with Appian
It's well suited when you have a team that is interested in building their own applications and doing Agile. It's less appropriate when you have long-running processes.
