Overall Satisfaction with Appian BPM

Appian is one of EDPR's primary tools for digitalization and process improvement. We use it to promote information transparency and to provide structure to complex processes that involve multiple departments.
  • Appian's rapid development capabilities (e.g. Quick Apps) allow us to create minimum viable products in minutes. This means that we get users testing and providing useful feedback right away.
  • Integration with a wide variety of data sources means that you can build apps to expose and manipulate data in existing legacy systems.
  • User friendly Tempo environment is also accessible on mobile devices with no additional design effort.
  • It would be good to have more detailed information about user activity out of the box (e.g. When a user last logged in), but this is a minor complaint.
  • EDPR has achieved an ROI of several times our investment, mostly from employee efficiency gains and the fact that it is cheaper to build solutions on Appian's flexible platform than it is to pay for custom software solutions.
  • We have made significant progress towards our organization's digitalization goals, and most of this was accomplished using Appian.
Unknown. EDPR was already using Appian when I started working there.
Appian BPM is useful for organizations that have a lot of Excel-and-email processes; whose employees are adaptable and willing to embrace change, or whose executives feel this way and are willing to throw their full support and resources behind a digitalization initiative.
