Jira for projects, change management and break fix
Overall Satisfaction with Atlassian Jira
We use it for change management, break fix tickets and projects. For projects it works really well and we've figured out how to make it work for change management when everyone follows our instructions. For break fix it works fine but I'm not sure if it is the best tool for the job. We are looking at changing to Salesforce even though we've figured out how to make everything work.
Pros
- It allows us to customize workflow
- Allows for us to build templates
- Allows for the creation of sub tasks that can be assigned to different people.
Cons
- We have not figured out how to enforce all of the workflow
- Setting security for certain actions may not always be possible.
- It does help with project management and it worth the investment there.
- The amount of work it takes to use it for change management is too much.
I may not have the correct Salesforce product name but we used their version of break fix and project management and it worked well out of the box. I thought that part was called Remedy but something else came up in the search. For Confluence we like it for sharing documents related to projects and using it along with other products.
