Overall Satisfaction with Atlassian Jira

We use JIRA for project and resource management. I create tasks and stories in JIRA and follow KANBAN methodology. Some of our teams track their work using Agile Scrum method. We can see the occupancy of a specific resource and measure productivity. We can log leaves, holidays, etc. and better manage team for critical projects. The reports can be exported and shared with external teams.

  • Searching issues can be simplified
  • Jira saved 30% time on resource management which we used to do manually in excel.
It's simple and easy to use; you can drag and drop task on lanes. The users get notified and you can control who gets the visibility. You can add members from different teams and collaborate on a project. The admins can control the access and share the progress with automated reports.
It was an organizational decision to go for JIRA and hence we moved to JIRA.

It's great for project management, but better suited for enterprises. Small businesses may find it a bit pricey. It's rich in features, especially the task management, lanes, option to create projects following different methods like scrum, kanban, etc. Project managers can get a quick view of the status of tasks, defects, etc.
