Overall Satisfaction with Authorize.Net

We used Authorize.Net in one of our big products as the main e-commerce payment gateway.

Pros

  • Allows capturing credit card details in same page flow
  • Quick processing
  • Secure

Cons

  • Outages
  • High fees
  • Interface is very outdated
  • N/A - we switched to another gateway.
  • Stripe
I would not recommend it - based on my experience there are much better providers. Authorize.Net is one of the oldest payment gateways and it is starting to show, the interface is old and there were constant service interruptions. It was also a hassle to fight chargebacks on this system.
