Overall Satisfaction with Automox
We use Automox to patch our Windows PCs and Linux Servers. We already have Jamf and are trying to use it to patch Mac PCs.
We want Automox to patch both the O/S and applications we use. We have attempted to use the available integration with Crowdstrike's Spotlight vulnerability management tool, but our initial two attempts at using this integration failed.

- Flexible scheduling and deferral options for patching end-user workstations
- Good messaging to end-users
- The ability to run scripts on PCs is useful
- Third-party patching could be better. I'd like to see support for many more 3rd-party apps. Plus I'd like to see more flexible options for follow-up attempts to patch when the app can't be patched at the scheduled time (because it is in use or for any other reason)
- Installation of the Mac agent with Jamf is very complicated now that we have a mix of Intel and M1-based Macbooks
- Linux server patching support seems pretty bare bones
- Patching operating systems
- Patching third-party applications
- In our environment, it would be impossible to keep our user PCs patched without an agent + cloud solution like Automox.
The competitors I evaluated seem to be more focused on MSP customers, which is not our situation. Also I used Automox at a prior company with some success.
