Overall Satisfaction with Automox

Our company is using Automox essentially for Patch Management. Automox is installed on all our endpoints, iOS+ Windows, fixed station, and mobile devices. We deploy all patches to both operating systems and applications such as Chrome, Zoom, Office, etc. It is installed in devices in our retail stores, warehouses, 3PLs, offices, and showrooms in North America, Europe, and Asia. Automox is a cloud-based system, which is great for us to not have to maintain and manage an on-prem device to push updates out across the world.
  • Uptime: it very rarely does the system go down or offline, and if it does - they notify us quickly and regularly and follow up after resolution with an RCA.
  • Flexible: it works on many different endpoints and operating systems.
  • Fast: it usually works quickly and effectively to deploy the updates.
  • Logs: you can see what happened, when, and if there were issues - the logging system reads clearly and explains what happened.
  • Support: getting help when we needed it was not easy in the first place, although they have made some small improvements there.
  • Intuitive: figuring out how to make changes to improve things - you need a little hand holding if you arent used to the way it works.
  • Logging in: takes a little longer than I'd like, and you get logged out after no activity very quickly.

Automox requires no server installation or maintenance. Pricing is competitive. It is cloud-based with a high level of uptime. I would recommend it to mid-sized businesses with a number of remote locations and different operating systems. It is simple to use and requires no pre-existing knowledge of patching tools. It is good for businesses with a variety of systems.

For us in retail, we really appreciate the cloud-based tool - accessing all our remote systems without the need for a VPN or an on-prem server, it certainly makes things easier. Moreover during the pandemic and having the workforce be mostly out of the office meant that the updates could be pushed to our corporate laptops in people's homes without them being on a VPN, which many users weren't.
