Use Cases and Deployment Scope

We integrate Automox with Rapid7 for helpful and quick vulnerability scanning and reporting. We use Automox as our main patching solution. It helps us stay up to date on security and updates and allows us to fully tailor it to our needs in a simple to understand format.

Pros and Cons

Pros

Fantastic user interface. Dashboard is great to use and easy to understand.
Allows you to set up as many policies as needed so the customization aspect is top notch.
Being able to add tags for device groups makes policy creation such a breeze.
Saves our team so much time we used to spend on vulnerability patching

Cons

The graphs and other widgets on the dashboard need to allow for customization. Without this, these are almost useless in certain environments based on your needs and priorities.
I think the user activity reporting could be simplified without having to rely on referencing user numbers, etc.
More options could be added for automatic email reporting for specific jobs

Patching

It honestly saved us tons of time we are now able to pour into other areas. We feel more comfortable with providing the patching to our clients and endpoints. We have better communication about our needs and our employees have a better grasp on what it takes to keep the company secure.

Usability

This is the biggest selling point. My favorite thing is being able to pass tasks onto another member of our team and them being able to understand the system right away. It’s very easy to use and the user interface is fantastic

NinjaOne

Automox has a much better user interface. Much simpler to use and share tasks with other team members. They offer great additional training and certifications to help you become an expert.

We are a financial institution. We take security and patching very seriously. This used to demand tons of manual work and man hours to just tread water.

With Automox, it becomes more basic maintenance and small tweaks instead of hundreds of wasted hours. It’s been a life saver for us. Policies are easy to set up and understand. And the training opportunities are great
