Use Cases and Deployment Scope

We use AvaTax to process customer orders and calculate the correct sales tax and also manage our tax-exempt certificates with CertCapture. It has solved using the wrong sales tax rates and has helped us to be in compliance with resale certificates. Getting ready to work with an auditor has been made easier with Avalara.

Return on Investment

With CertCapture, I have a team of three. We work on CertCapture 3 times a day for approximately 15-20 minutes. I cannot speak for the rest of the company as I do not manage them.
I am confident when I get sales tax from AvaTax and convey it to our customers.

Implementation Rating

We are currently working on a new implementation. When implementing, ask more questions and attend a Crush (Avalara) conference prior.

Systems Integrated With

Working on implementing Infor SyteLine this summer

It has not been that difficult.

Usability

I feel like I was self-taught with the initial implementation. It was not hard to use and easy to train others on.

We have benefited overall from Avalara.

Likelihood to Recommend

From my experience, it handles the sales tax and management of the exempt certificates well. I have not had any scenarios where it is less appropriate.
