Overall Satisfaction with Avalara

We use Avalara across the organization to collect data on sales tax and file all the sales tax returns as well as watching for Nexus. It helps IMMENSELY to track sale tax to ensure we are compliant with state sales tax laws.

  • Took sales tax filings to Avalara, which will save 15-20 hours A MONTH!
  • Being able to have Avalara do the heavy lifting with filing in states we don't have knowledge in
  • Invaluable time saved to make sure the tax rates in each CITY were accurate, this was so time consuming, and costing the company money if we had it incorrect.

Easy to understand, modern site, love the diagrams. Easy to find what I am looking for and the Info buttons were extremely helpful in finding what data was needed.
  • Avalara Returns
Yes, we have upgraded to CFO services with our CPA instead of having them do tax compliance. Much quicker and less risk of error.
We have loved using for sales tax in an online environment to track where we have nexus and in filing the returns. It was super easy to implement. We waited until we had 20 states, but I would recommend setting up once you get past three states.
