AVI-SPL is the primary vendor providing audio-visual products and services at our meeting and event space. Visitors to our facility frequently compliment the sophisticated technology that supports their events. As our AV partner for more than 10 years, AVI-SPL has consistently provided superior guidance on all of our technology solutions and delivered the highest quality service.

As valuable as the level of support provided is, it comes with a significant cost that represents about 20 percent of our annual operating expenses.

Support Rating

Because of the highly customized nature of our AV installation and the presence of vendor-provided onsite support, response time to our reports of a serious problem are generally handled expeditiously by highly-qualified, Tier 3 personnel. In the case of more typical installations that we have provisioned from AVI-SPL, turnaround usually takes longer, which can be frustrating at times.

Alternatives Considered

Because our systems have been designed specifically for our needs, we have not been inclined to engage other AV vendors. Our relationship with AVI-SPL dates back to 2015 when we engaged them for our initial facility design. That said, we recently entered into a new contract with AVI-SPL to maintain a separate studio infrastructure associated with our space after losing faith in our previous vendor. While that relationship has only been in place for a year, we are very pleased with the quality of service provided so far.

AVI-SPL listens well to their customers so that they can provide optimal solutions to the identified problems. Because of the level of sophistication that they bring to every project, they may not be well suited for smaller installations where that level of complexity isn’t necessary.
