Overall Satisfaction with AxisCare Home Care Software

As a personal care company, we use it as our sole EMR software system and for EVV. The software keeps all of our client and caregiver documents in one space for seamless access across our 5 office organization.

Pros

  • Customer/Support Assistance
  • New Updates Information
  • Contractibility

Cons

  • Larger file size for image/file messages. This would help with continuing education documents.
  • More control over users as an admin (settings for bots, notifications)
  • More information for trouble shooting EVV issues
  • Document storage for users such as forms that the admin has access to for viewing uploaded weekly/monthly forms, etc. This would be a HUGE help so we don't have to rely on outside platforms for documents used on multiple clients/caregivers.
  • Increase in available technology and ease of use to those that are tech savy
  • Ability to track hours worked/billed more effectively than on paper
  • System glitches often and we have large volumes of calls with clocking issues, more information in document form would be helpful upon start up
  • Training for caregivers on required items for successful EVV capture
I like the software personally. However, for someone that isn't tech savy it's overwhelming and often has glitches that require our employees to reach out to myself or support which is time consuming and frustrating for busy offices and caregivers. We receive MANY phone calls about glitches and not being able to clock. It certainly could be due to user error. I do think more initial training could solve this.

Customer service and support are fantastic! Having access to training videos is helpful.

Training videos are at times out of date or do not go into enough detail. Not having a document storage/notes for users requires us to do things outside of AxisCare Home Care Software which is not user friendly and also makes us have more accounts than would be needed if it was all under one roof.

AxisCare Home Care Software has a lot of features that are helpful in the roles we play at [...] Arkansas. The support is fantastic! I do wish there were more features for users to store documents for themselves such as weekly task lists and monitoring forms that they would normally email to me or upload to Google Drive for storage. This however isn't something that would cause our company to switch software programs.

Evaluating AxisCare Home Care Software and Competitors

Unsure. I am new to the home care scene so I'm not sure what other options are out there. I am pleased with the amount of support we are able to get from our Rep and the support team so there hasn't been a reason to research further since I took the management position approximately 6 months ago.

They have been incredibly helpful and willing to assist with every situation we have encountered. There have been some instances where they were unsure of what the issue we were experiencing was or how to fix it. They attempted though and were very responsive.

During our transition from paper to forms. It took them a while to figure out what the problem was and how exactly to help but they were in contact frequently with updates and assuring they were working on it.

Yes - Fairly well. There are glitches often that cause us to replace hours worked or obtain a timesheet when clocking in and out or submitting ADLs.
