Use Cases and Deployment Scope

Before BambooHR, we were the typical small business using multiple spreadsheets to track information for a 20-person firm. In one year, we doubled our size; however, our HR department did not. Keeping track of wages, benefits, recruiting efforts, PTO, and basic team member information became cumbersome. BambooHR allows us to house all of the information in one place and put settings in place so sensitive information is kept secure.

Cons

Personally, the current performance package does not quite meet the needs of our industry.
I would also like to use the payroll feature, however, it again does not fit with our industry.

Return on Investment

Gave more time back to HR, Directors, and Managers by providing options for easy reports and a place to have all the information.
PTO! This has given so much time back to accounting as they no longer have to manually calculate PTO and it's also allowed our team to feel more comfortable to take time off by having an official way to ask off and see what their balances are.
Onboarding and offboarding: this has helped HR with the many many tasks of helping team members come onboard as well as when they leave a company.
Professionalism: the ability to create forms and has stepped up our game for new hires and even tracking things we have needed our team to fill out!

Usability

BambooHR is so easy to use! And if you ever have a question, you can go straight to the help section with easy to navigate articles and even training videos! Chat is also available most general working hours and I never have to wait long! BambooHR is very much set to mimic the social media platforms we are all very used to in today's world.

Support Rating

Support has always been fantastic and goes above and beyond! I have needed to contact support a handful of times over the years that we have had our BambooHR account. One time, I needed to create and delete a few custom fields. I was expecting this to take a few days to be accomplished. Nope! During the chat, they had this completed! It was so fast! I also had to contact chat about removing a package we were no longer using. Again, super easy! They walked me through the steps and it was all taken care of in minutes!

BambooHR Reporting

There are many, many times HR will get requests from our CEO or CFO for reports about wages, anniversary dates, or numerous other items. It takes seconds to create and pull the reports! AND the custom reports are saved so that you can rerun the reports in the future if ever needed! This really beats the hours of hand entry into Excel sheets that I used to do!

We have used BambooHR since 2021 and we have seen our internal HR services become more professionalized over the years! It's helped smoothly bring on new team members and give candidates great first impressions! BambooHR is always innovating and developing new features for us to get the most out of the software. My absolute favorite new feature has been the benefits package, which made open enrollment a breeze for our team and me!
