I used Bigcommerce for the whole organization. It’s easy to navigate. It will be great if it’s able to integrate into EDI system. It’s not too difficult to design layout for Bigcommerce. One of the greatest things is it’s integrated with other accounting software and eBay, etc.
I used Bigcommerce to sell cosmetics worldwide. Customers can pay via paypal, or they can select either credit card or check. I also like its analytics for owner.integrated
  • It’s much easier to navigate than Joomla.
  • It’s more specialized in e-commerce compared to Wordpress.
  • It provides owners analytics for demand and forecast.
  • Bigcommerce can integrate with Salesforce
  • If users can design Bigcommerce by themselves rather than having to hire web designers, that's a bonus. Just like Wix.com
  • Instruct users to convert product data by uploading Excel files rather than input product info one by one.
  • Bigcommerce lacks in lead generation, because Online Assistant is not initially set up.
  • I believe Bigcommerce can increase employee efficiency due to the Salesforce integration.
  • We may need more innovation for Bigcommerce to increase customer interaction and satisfaction.
I’ve used Wordpress and Joomla and some Chinese CMS, they are not specialized in e-commerce; plus, Bigcommerce is much easier to set up. So far, I haven’t used Magento. I hope to compare Bigcommerce vs. Magento.
It will not be easy for an owner to change a platform unless other CMS or platforms have great integration and innovation that can boost sales and leads. Otherwise, a company will just keep renew its current platform without further investment.
I highly recommend small business owners to use Bigcommerce. For users who want to sell products online without much Internet experience, Bigcommerce is easy for them. If users have to process too many orders at a time or have to submit many new items at a time, Bigcommerce maybe is not quite the right tool. Or at least it lacks training tutorials for such scenarios.
