Overall Satisfaction with Bing Ads
I manage Bing Product Ads for a variety of clients. It helps get clients product listing ads visible on the Bing network and provide quick links to products relevant to Bing user searches.
- Organized Platform - easy to set up campaigns and manage performance
- Segmented Data - opportunity to view data through multiple dimensions such as hour of day, day of week, product level, etc. Allows users to know exactly how their products are perfroming.
- Bing frequently has errors on reporting. For example - column headers were reflecting the wrong information (i.e. conversions header was showing in cost per conversion header, clicks were showing above cost, etc.)
- Bing customer support isn't as in depth. Questions are not always answered in a timely manner and are often inconclusive. For example I had an issue with Bing conversion tracking and no one could provide me with a resolution.
- Bing Ads has allowed my clients to expand to different audiences prevalent on the different search engines. It allows for increased conversions and targeting a larger audience.
The only comparable product I've used is Google AdWords. While AdWords is still the preferred paid search engine marketing - Bing is catching up. AdWords is faster to roll out more techniques and tools and has a larger audience. Bing may take a while to stack up - garnering an audience and working out some kinks first.
Evaluating Bing Ads and Competitors
- Product Usability
- Product Reputation
Reputation. It's worth an investment on a growing search engine.
I would do everything the same. Bing is worth the exposure and trying it out.
